How You Can Be Involved

Throughout this master planning process, the public is integrated into visioning and decision making. The project has been set up to include the following:

  • A Community Advisory Committee (CAC), which is made up of representatives from neighborhood associations, local organizations, government entities, and other associations, meets with the consultant team during the process to review draft products and provide additional insight and information.
  • Advocacy Workshops - Several specific advocacy or "special interest" groups were met with to get a presentation of their issues, ideas and concerns.
  • Public Meetings - Visioning workshop plus meet to review draft concepts during master planning phase, plus a public hearing for SEQRA
  • City Technical Advisory - representatives from several city divisions provide technical review and input throughout the project.
  • Stakeholder interviews - the economics consultants met with several developers and local economic development professional in person and on the phone to discuss market trends and opportunities.
